Weekly Reflection 6- The Light in The Dark

Weekly Reflection 6
17/ 3/ 2014

Today Encik Fuad came to deliver a lecture on using flash light to get a better photo. To use the flash correctly, this requires a great knowledge behind the simple hardware. One of the concept taught in this class is the "bound" of the flash light. The flash can be reflected towards our subjects through ceiling to avoid the light travels directly to humans' eyes yet still able to produce great photos.

Below were the photos taken with flash mode enabled.

f/5.6 | 1/10s | ISO 100 (Nikon D3000@52mm)
Iphone4S in the dark.

f/5.6 | 1/10s | ISO 100 (Nikon D3000@18mm)
The moving fan was freeze when flash mode enabled in a dark room.

f/5.6 | 1/10s | ISO 100 (Nikon D3000@26mm)
The shower and the water drops can be clearly seen once the flash mode was enabled.

With flash mode enabled, there was sufficient light provided to the camera. Thus, the shutter speed will be increased which is useful to freeze a motion in a dark situation.
